Flowers, plants and produce can completely make a space. I swear by it and try to style them wherever and whenever I can.

Mellynne Design is based in California which means we have an abundance of gorgeous plants and flowers that grow year around; if we can’t forage it, we grab whatever is in season from the local flower market.

Gumnut branches are one of my December favorites! They can be used for gift wrapping, styled in a vase or mingled with citrus and other winter garland. They’re full of color, texture and have these crazy little pods that look like mini lanterns. If you’re curious, YES, this is the same tree from THAT Australian childhood song about the “Kookebera sitting in the gumnut tree…”! Makes me love it even more.
